An unabashed love letter dedicated to my hot pick among all sexy male Asian artists on the planet.
Alexander Lee Hom Wang,
It was an ordinary day. Being bored, I was typing random phrases into Google search – ‘funny cats’, ‘famous chickens’, and finally, ‘hot Asian singer.’ It is undeniable: fate played a part in meeting you.
I clicked on ‘Images,’ and I knew that your 5’10” frame, boyish smile, naughty eyes, chiseled cheekbones, and tousled hair were all I needed in my life. YouTube confirmed what I knew in my soul. You are not only incredibly sexy and drool-worthy, you are also mind-blowingly talented.
Alexander Lee Hom Wong, my love and destiny, you started your career more than ten years ago. Although Ivy League schools such as Yale could have been a great opportunity (what can I say? I like my men smart AND hot), your heart told you to go down a different path and choose music. And you did. With your natural flair for both the violin and jazz piano, you entered both Williams College and Berklee College of Music, graduating with an MA in Jazz Piano & Composition. At this time, you released your first album, Love Rival Beethoven. Eleven albums later, you have yet to look back.

And why should you? When your studly awe-inspiring self has won Taiwan’s ‘Best Male Artist of the Year’ for nine consecutive years now and thus earned the respect of people from all over, even those outside the music field. You served as a UNICEF Youth Ambassador, a National Geographic spokesperson and, most recently, one of the official singers for the Beijing Olympics. On top of all those accolades, you have also won My Heart.
The Taiwanese pop world is at your feet, Lee Hom my Love, but I see that you also plan to conquer the world of film. Following in the footsteps of your contemporary, Jay Chou, you are also beginning to gain fame for movies set for international release. Jay Chou has been getting more attention for his acting chops but you, Lee Hom, are hot on his heels with a breakthrough performance in Lust Caution and an upcoming film with Jackie Chan.
Yet all my cyberstalking will not bring me any closer to you, will it Lee Hom? For you are not only hot, talented, and smart – you are also made more ideal by the air of mystery you created. You chose to live a private life despite your very public career. There is really nothing tangible I can learn about you. Unknowingly, you have shut me, your future wife, out of your life.
While other Taiwanese pop stars have been embroiled in Mafia connections and Edison Chen-type scandals, the paparazzi can’t get anything on you, save for your discography. Your passion for blending Chinese and Tibetan elements of music into mainstream R&B. Your ability to pack stadiums with 80,000 fans. No article and no press release could ever divulge more because you refuse to let them dig deeper.

And I respect that. I admire it. But I am left wanting. And if this letter reaches you, maybe you’ll want to know more, too.
E-mail me Alexander Lee Hom Wang. Let’s have coffee. Let’s get a bite to eat. Let’s make beautiful oriental music together. Give me a chance to make your perfect life just a touch more beautiful, as you have done for mine.
From your rabid, slightly-drunk, number one fan,
Bia
P.S
You are so hot. I swear.
